Police Scotland are appealing for information in relation to the murder of Paul McMinigal which took place on 24/07/2026 at approx. 3pm.
Details of Incident
A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Glasgow.
Around 3pm on Friday, 24 July, 2026, we received a report of a man found with serious injuries within the close of a block of flats on Burgher Street.
Emergency services attended, but the man, aged 44, was pronounced dead at the scene. He can be named as Paul McMinigal.
Detective Chief Inspector Stephen McGrath, senior investigating officer from the Major Investigation Team, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family of Paul McMinigal who died at what is an extremely difficult time for them. They continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
“Extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and we are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
“I would ask that anyone in the local area think back to whether they saw anything suspicious on Friday afternoon in the area of Burgher Street or Parkhead Cross, or anything in the days leading up to it.
“We are also asking the public to check any private CCTV or dash-cam footage they may have to see if something has been captured that could assist with our investigation.
“We understand that this incident will be concerning for the local community and a police presence will remain in the area while the investigation continues.
"Anyone with any concerns, or information, can approach these officers."
