Police Scotland are appealing for information in relation to a Murder that occurred around 9.05pm on Saturday 27th April 2024 in Brookfield Road, Port Glasgow


Details of Incident

Detectives are appealing for information following a murder in Port Glasgow.

 

Around 9.05pm, on Saturday, 27 April 2024, police were called to a report that a man had been found seriously injured on Brookfield Road, Port Glasgow.

A 27-year-old man, who can now be named as Jack Trainner, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An extensive investigation is under way to establish the full circumstances of what happened and there will be an increased police presence in the area.

 

Detective Chief Inspector Graham McCreadie, from the Major Investigation Teams, said: “Jack's family and friends will continue to be supported throughout our enquiries. It’s vital we find out exactly what happened to him and I’m appealing to the public for help to do that.

 

"If you have any information that may assist officers with their enquiries, then please get in touch as soon as you can.

 

“We would also like to view any private CCTV or dashcam footage from the area and between 8.30pm and 9.15pm on Saturday."
