Northumbria Police and partner agencies are dealing with a major incident that has occurred at Newcastle Airport, Newcastle involving a plane that has crashed on the runway. The incident was reported to police at 1000hrs on Friday 8th September 2023.

We would like to hear from anybody reporting friends or family missing and believed involved in this incident and anybody who may have witnessed the incident or has any information that may assist the police. We would like to appeal to anyone that may have CCTV footage, dash cam footage or mobile phone videos linked to the incident
