At 0900 hours on the 4th November 2025 a police incident has occurred. A coach carrying members of Bournemouth Rugby Club collided with a petrol tanker on the A35 east bound near the intersection of Quarr Hill and Chitten Hill.

There are multiple fatalities. A number of injured casualties have been taken to receiving hospitals in the area and a SuRC has been set up to accommodate the survivors at Bulbury Woods Golf Club.
