Operation ANDESITE - Murder at York Station
Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after a serious assault at York Railway Station on Sunday 15 December 2024
Details of incident
Detectives at British Transport Police (BTP) have launched an investigation after a 32 year old male was attacked at York Station on the evening of Sunday 15 December and suffered serious head injuries.
He was taken to hospital in a life threatening condition where he sadly passed away on Wednesday 18 December with his family by his side.
Officers from BTP's Major Crime Crime Command are appealing for any information from the public who were at the station and may have seen or heard something or be in possession of mobile phone, CCTV, social media or dashcam footage in relation to the incident.
Police are trying to establish why this happened and are appealing to anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
