OPERATION EILDON - RIVER SEARCH AND RESCUE

Do you have any information that can assist our investigation.

MULTI-AGENCY SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATION

A multi-agency river search and rescue operation took place in Pembrokeshire on the morning of Saturday, 30th October 2021.  Police, Fire, Coastguard and Ambulance were called to the Cleddau River in Haverfordwest at around 9am following reports of a group of paddleboarders in distress in the water.

A group of nine adults from the south Wales area had travelled to Pembrokeshire for a paddle-boarding excursion.  The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated, but it is believed that the group got into difficulty in the water. Sadly two women and a man died at the scene, and a woman remains in a critical condition in hospital.

We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or who have video footage of paddleboarders in the River Cleddau during the relevant time.
