SHOOTING INCIDENT PONTPRENNAU, CARDIFF

South Wales Police is investigating a shooting incident in Pontprennau Cardiff on 7th June.


SOUTH WALES POLICE APPEAL FOR INFORMATION

South Wales Police was called at around 8pm on Saturday, June 7, to a report of a shooting incident in Pontprennau, Cardiff.
Officers attended a house in Clos y Ffynnon and a 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital.
Fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening.

Detective Superintendent Mark O’Shea, from South Wales Police, said “We understand the concern this incident will cause, and I want to reassure the local community that teams of detectives and specialist staff are working at pace to piece together the events of Saturday evening.”

Extensive enquiries are ongoing, and there will be a visible police presence in the area while officers continue the investigation.
