Murder of Asim KHAN

South Wales Police are investigating the murder of Asim KHAN in Cardiff on Sun 21st July 2019

Details of Incident

Police are appealing for any information from members of the public who may have been in the area between the hours of 0430hrs - 0450hrs on 21/07/2019.
The incident occured in the area of St Marys St, Cardiff located between Mcdonalds and the Oxfam Store.
The man who died has now been named as 21year old Asim KHAN from Grangetown, Cardiff.
Emergency Services performed CPR at the scene until he was taken by ambulance to the university Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, where he died.
A 27 year old local man has been charged in connection with the incident.
Officers are appealing for information.
They would like to speak to anybody who may have witnessed the incident, or may have seen a suspect running away from the scene.
Witnesses have described a suspect making off initially in the direction of Wood Street, and then towards Penarth road at the rear of Cardiff Central Railway Station.
Detective Superintendent Richard Jones from South Wales Police Major Crime Investigation Team, said:
"A young man has tragically lost his life early this morning and we are doing all we can to identify the person responsible. 
We would like to hear from anybody who may have seen the incident, the suspect or has any other information is urged to please contact South Wales Police.
