Detectives are appealing for information following the death of a man.  At 3:50pm on Wednesday 16th September, Merseyside Police were informed by the Ambulance Service that a male had been found unresponsive on the tidal side of the wall at West Kirby Marine Lake, Merseyside.  He was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.

It is believed he entered the water around the Flint Castle area during the evening of Monday 14th September.  Detective Chief Inspector Richard Griffith is appealing to anyone who may have seen him to get in touch.  He said "We are aware from CCTV enquiries there were several people walking, cycling and driving around the area of Flint Castle at the time.  I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw the male between 6pm and 9:30pm on Monday 14th September.  He was an Asian male, described to be around 5'10'' tall and of medium build.  He was wearing a black sweatshirt, ripped blue jeans, black trainers and possibly in possession of a cross-body bag.  I am also appealing to anyone who might have any pictures, videos or dashcam around the castle between these times to contact us.  Your information or images could be crucial in assisting our investigation".
