Appeal for information following the murder of Heather Jordan in Lyngford Park, Taunton, Somerset
Details of Incident
Police investigating the death of a woman discovered in Lyngford Park on Sunday 18th February 2018 have confirmed her identity as local woman Heather JORDAN. It is also confirmed that a post mortem examination established that Heather had been the victim of an assault.
The incident is now being investigated by the force's Major Crime Investigation Team.
The investigation team are keen to speak with everybody that was in Lyngford Park between 10pm on Saturday evening (17th February) and 8am on Sunday morning (18th February). Even if you saw nothing suspicious you may hold vital information.
The Senior Investigating Officer is Detective Inspector Mike Buck "I appreciate all the support my team have already received from local people as we try to establish what has happened. I have specially trained officers supporting the victim's family, and my thoughts are with them at this awful time".
The Local Policing Area Commander is Lisa Simpson "The Local Policing Team are ensuring that there is an increased presence in the area, please come and speak to a member of my team if you have any concerns".
