Detectives from the Major Crime Investigation Team have renewed their appeal for information as they continue to investigate two sexual assaults which took place in the Bear Street area of Barnstaple. 

Details of Incidents:

The first incident took place on Sunday 25th September, between 3.15am and 3.40am, in the Gorwell Estate area of Bear Street in Barnstaple.

The second assault took place on Sunday 2nd October, between 2.30 am and 3.15 am, on the corner of Derby Road and Beaufort Walk in Barnstaple.

The Investigation Team are keeping an open mind as to whether the incidents are linked.

Detectives are now asking the public to assist in identifying the owner, or driver, of the vehicle pictured, a dark-coloured Mercedes E-Class Estate. 

The Mercedes was seen in the area around the time of the incidents and the driver may have vital information to assist us with our enquiries. We are appealing to those who know the owner or user of such a vehicle or somebody who has recently sold a vehicle of this type.
