Fatal Road Collision in Chattenden

Witnesses are sought following a fatal road collision in Chattenden near Wainscott.

The collision, involving a black Peugeout 208 GTI and a pedestrian, took place by the pedestrian crossing on Four Elms Hill near Chattenden Lane at around 6pm on Monday 26 October 2020. A 69 year old local man died at the scene, his next of kin have been informed. A 39 year old man from Rochester was arrested in connection with the collision and remains in custody.

Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for any witnesses to come forward who may have seen the collision or the vehicle travelling in the Medway Towns area beforehand. In particular anyone who has CCTV, doorbell or dash cam footage of either the vehicle or the collision itself.
