Essex Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a seven-year-old girl in Chalkwell Park on the afternoon of Saturday 28th June.

She died following the partial collapse of a tree.

At this time we are continuing an investigation into the circumstances around the collapse of the tree.

These enquiries are being led by Essex Police at this stage.
