OP DRUM 25

Death of male in Lincoln Lane, Pilgrims Hatch

Details of Incident

We are appealing for anyone with information that will support our investigation following the discovery of a man’s body in Pilgrims Hatch.

Officers were called to the scene in Lincolns Lane at about 5.45am on Wednesday 19th March where a man in his 30s was discovered.

Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene and a cordon is in place while officers conduct their enquiries.

While we investigate, we also want to hear from anyone with doorbell or dashcam footage from the area of Lincolns Lane and Coxtie Green Road on the evening of Tuesday 18 March and the morning of Wednesday 19 March.

Detective Chief Inspector Greg Wood said: “I would like to reassure the community that this is not a murder investigation, but rather an investigation into how, sadly, this man came to be abandoned at the roadside.

“We are pursuing multiple lines of enquiry to establish the facts of this case, particularly around the circumstances in which this man died.

“While I know this incident will be shocking for the community, I would ask those locally to think carefully about anything they may have seen or heard on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning in the vicinity of Lincolns Lane”.
