Officers are continuing enquiries as part of an ongoing attempted murder investigation and appealing for the public’s help.

On Monday, 29 April, officers were called to St Marys Court on Victoria Avenue in Southend following a serious assault.

The 19-year-old victim was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds and she has thankfully since been discharged.

Detectives in our Serious Crime Directorate are appealing for help to locate 27-year-old Kallen Maxwell, who we want to speak with in connection with this investigation.

“Maxwell has connections across Essex including Brentwood, Southend and Wickford as well as Lincolnshire, Romford and Greater Manchester.

“This was a serious assault and the young victim is lucky to be alive. We are asking anyone who has information on Maxwell’s whereabouts to contact us.
