The Joint Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team are investigating the circumstances around the death of a young woman who was struck by a vehicle on Leete Way, West Winch, Kings Lynn on 23rd January 2022.
It follows an incident in Leete Way shortly before 7.30pm on 23rd January 2022 where Police had been called following reports of a disturbance and that a woman had been hit by a car.
The woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was pronounced dead. A Home Office post mortem examination will be held 25th January 2022 to establish the cause of death.
Initial enquiries led officers to arrest a 44 year old man at the hospital on suspicion of murder, causing death by dangerous driving and drink driving.
Detectives are requesting witnesses, members of the pubic or any person with information to come forward and specifically if they are in possession of dashcam footage, mobile phone footage or have images of any person involved to make contact.
