Murder. David Lawal in Thetford 3rd October 2019
Police in Norfolk have appealed for assistance following the fatal stabbing of a male in the vicinity of Brandon Road, Thetford on the 3rd October 2019 at about 7pm.
Details of Incident
David Lawal, aged 25 was found collapsed in Brandon Road (A134), Thetford with stab wounds by members of the public who provided first aid. Police on patrol came across the scene soon afterwards. Despite the best efforts of the members of the public, police officers and the Ambulance Service David was declared dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing. Detective Chief Inspector Gray who is leading the enquiry said.
" I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of Brandon Road, Canons Close or Canterbury Way or the surrounding woodland to contact the investigating team as a matter of urgency. Brandon Road carries a lot of vehicular traffic and I would particularly appeal to anyone who has dash cam footage to contact us. At this stage I would wish to reassure the community we have committed considerable resources into establishing what has happened and the community will see increased police presence in the area during the following days".
