Murder investigation launched in Peterborough Detectives today confirmed they are treating the death of a man, whose body was found in the River Nene in Peterborough on Saturday (24 January), as murder.

Detectives today confirmed they are treating the death of a man, whose body was found in the River Nene in Peterborough on Saturday (24 January), as murder.
The man can also be named as Conor Kinlan, 30, of no fixed address.
Officers were called to Pleasure Fair Meadow Road, near Town Bridge, at about noon on Friday following reports a man had been chased and entered the river.
Specialist dive teams were brought in and Conor’s body was recovered in the early hours of the following day.
Detective Chief Inspector Richard Stott, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: “Detectives have been working hard since Friday to piece together how and why Conor ended up in the river, and we have multiple lines of enquiry which are being followed.
“Specialist officers are supporting his family, and there will be increased patrols in the area over the coming days.”
