Investigation Launched in Nottinghamshire
Nottinghamshire Police Major Crime have launched a murder investigation after a 22-year-old man was found dead in Tuxford.
Police made the discovery after being called to a report of an aggravated burglary, shortly after 10.40pm on Tuesday (25th February 2025). A man was found unresponsive outside the location a short time later. Officers commenced CPR but he was sadly pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
The victim has now been formally identified as Taylor Green. His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
A 24-year-old male and a 21-year-old female were arrested on suspicion of murder. The male remains in custody, and the female has since been released. The investigation team are also actively seeking three other males in connection with the incident.
Detective Inspector Clare Gibson leading the investigation is appealing to anyone who may have information about this incident to get in touch as soon as possible.
Any information, no matter how insignificant, could play a vital role in helping the investigation. DI Gibson also assures the public that this is an isolated incident, and that there will be an increased police presence in the area whilst the Major Crime team continues with their lines of enquiry.
