Detectives investigating the serious assault of a man in Kettering have now launched a murder inquiry following his death.

A man who died after being seriously assaulted in Kettering has been named as Ryan Burton, originally from Corby.
Ryan, aged 34, died at the University Hospital Coventry on Thursday (January 16), six days after the assault in the town’s Spring Rise park, near Highfield Road, shortly before 7pm on Friday, January 10.
A murder investigation is underway, and six men four from Kettering aged 38, 24, 24 and 22, a 20-year-old man from Desborough and a 24-year-old man from Rothwell, arrested in connection with the incident remain in police custody.
Detectives investigating the murder have re-issued their appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
They would particularly like to hear from anyone who was driving in the areas of Highfield Road and Spring Rise between 6.30pm and 7.30pm on Friday, January 10, and who has dash-cam footage of their journey.
The investigation team would also like to hear from any residents and businesses in this area of Kettering, who may have CCTV or doorbell footage between the relevant timings and date, to please get in touch.
