Appeal for information

We've charged a boy after a woman was found with serious injuries at an address in Birmingham.


Details of Incident

A woman, aged in her 60s, was discovered in Kellett Road at just before 6.15pm on Wednesday (18 March). She remains in a serious condition in hospital.

A 12-year-old boy was arrested and has since been charged with wounding and sexual assault.

He's also been charged with a separate theft matter last Wednesday and intentional strangulation after a woman was confronted in the street last month.

The boy, who cannot be named due to his age, is remanded to appear before Birmingham Youth Court tomorrow (24 March).

Our enquiries remain ongoing but we understand how concerning this will be within the community. Our officers will be continuing to provide reassurance in the local area.
