We’re asking the public to help us find a man wanted over the murder of Chris Ikouara in Acocks Green.

Mr Ikouara, aged 19, was stabbed at an address on Olton Boulevard East on Tuesday (13th January) and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Our thoughts remain with his family, who are being kept up to date and supported by specialist officers.

Detectives have been working around the clock to establish what happened, speaking to witnesses as well as recovering and reviewing CCTV from around the area.

We are now asking for the public’s help to find Zachariah Liburd, aged 22, who is a suspect in our investigation.

Det Supt Jim Munro, from our Homicide unit said: “I would urge Liburd to do the right thing. Come forward before we find you.

“Highly trained officers are following a number of lines of enquiry, and we’re grateful for the public’s help so far.

“What we need now is for anyone with information on Liburd, no matter how insignificant you think it might be – to get in touch with us straight away.

“Information will be treated in confidence.

“But if anyone is helping Liburd avoid us you should know you will also face arrest and prosecution.”

We are keen to see any dashcam or CCTV footage from around the area during the times before and after the incident.
