We’ve arrested three men following a violent disorder involving weapons in the Tile Hill area of Coventry last night (Wed).

We were called to Robert Mounford Way shortly after 8.30pm.

One man was taken to hospital with a life-threatening gunshot injury to his chest while a second man was taken to hospital after receiving gunshot injuries to his leg. His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

Three men, aged 25, 24 and 22 were quickly arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. They remain in custody as our enquiries continue.

We understand incidents of this nature are concerning to the community and we will have extra patrols in the area today and over the coming days to offer reassurance.
