We are appealing for anyone with footage showing disorder in Smethwick which led to the fatal stabbing of a man to send it to police.


Karl Gallagher, aged 31, of Smethwick, who leaves behind a daughter, died of a single stab wound to the chest following a disturbance at West Cross Shopping Centre at 4.40pm on Sunday.


Eight men have been arrested as part of the investigation.


One person has been charged with murder, while the others have been released while investigations continue.


Footage showing the incident has been widely circulated on social media, but officers need to ensure that they have gathered all available evidence.


We would urge anyone who has footage to submit it using this website so that it can be assessed by officers.
