Details of Incident

At around 3.45pm on Sunday 12th January 2020, a 12 year old boy was shot in the leg by the occupants of a passing vehicle outside the shops at Northern Avenue, Arbourthorne, Sheffield.

This horrific incident has received a great deal of news coverage and a number of witnesses have come forward.

The victim was rushed to hospital and subsequently treated for his serious injuries.

South Yorkshire Police launched a Major Investigation resulting in a number of arrests and searches. It is believed this incident is the latest in an ongoing dispute.  

The investigators need the help of witnesses and those in the community, to establish key facts and ultimately, achieve justice for the victim.

Officers are keen to speak with anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, or have knowledge in relation to this incident or connected incidents.
