South Yorkshire Police - Murder of Nadeem Qureshi
South Yorkshire Police investigation into the murder of Nadeem Qureshi. Public appeal for information
Details of Incident
South Yorkshire Police are conducting a murder investigation relating to the death of Nadeem Qureshi, aged 40 from the Greater Manchester area.
At approximately 7.15pm Wednesday 24th July 2019, the body of Nadeem was discovered on disused land at the end of Station Road, Deepcar, Sheffield. An initial assessment of Nadeem has identified that he had sustained serious physical injuries resulting in his death.
It is understood that the land at the end of Station Road is popular with dog walkers, runners and cyclists, and on that particular day the weather was very warm and sunny.
Police are appealing to anyone who was in the Station Road area at that time, in particularly near to the Lowood Club up to the land past the old Station House where Nadeem was found, to come forward with any information or sightings of suspicious activity. It is also understood that Nadeem had been travelling in a White Ford Transit vehicle - 19 plate prior to his death, therefore if anyone saw similar vehicles in the area at or around the time, we would be particularly interested to know what you saw.
