A murder investigation has been launched after a man sadly died following a suspected assault in Newcastle.

At 6.30pm Monday 11th November 2024, police received a report of a disturbance at an address on Sceptre Place, in the Elswick area of the city.

Emergency services attended where John Hardy was found to have sustained serious injuries.
