Cheshire Police- Murder of Ann Marie Pomphret

Detectives from Cheshire Police are investigating the murder of Ann Marie Pomphret, 49. Following a call to the emergency services just after 10pm Friday 2nd November 2018 Ann Marie was found dead at the stables off Old Alder Lane, Warrington. The stables are close to the Fiddle I'th Bag Public House, which is situated on Alder Lane between Burtonwood and Winwick. The investigation team are appealing for anyone who was in the area between 7pm and 11pm to come forward.

Details of Incident

The investigation team are keen to establish Ann Marie’s movements in the hours leading up to her death on the evening of Friday 2nd November 2018 and would like to speak to anyone who may have information to assist the investigation. Did you see Ann Marie going to the stables? Or did you see anything you thought was suspicious but you haven’t yet spoken to police?” 

If you were in Hall Lane, Alder lane and Old Alder Lane near to the ‘Fiddle I’th Bag’ Public House or Winwick Park, or the area in between the two locations or you have Dashcam footage or CCTV we would urge you to contact police.

If you reside in the above area close to Old Alder Lane and have noticed discarded rubbish which is out of place please contact Cheshire Police via 101.

One male has been arrested in connection with this investigation and released on bail.
