Detectives have charged Josh Baxter (18/11/1997) of Blackley with manslaughter following the death of as 38-year-old Michael Barron at Lakeside Rise, Blackley on Sunday 26 January at 10.15pm.

Josh Baxter has since been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Manchester Crown Court on 28 February 2025.

This charge is in relation to an investigation into a man’s death after colleagues from the ambulance service responded to a report of a concern for the welfare of a man from an address on Lakeside Rise, Blackley on Sunday 26 January at 10.15pm.

Michael’s family continue to be supported by specially-trained officers and are aware of the progress being made in this investigation.
