Missing Person - Murder Enquiry

Greater Manchester Police are appealing to the public for further information to find 24 year old Alisha Apostoloff-Boyarin, one year after her disappearance. Alisha was last seen in January 2022

Details of Incident

Alisha Apostoloff-Boyarin, aged 24, from Ashton-under-Lyne was reported missing on Wednesday 2nd February 2022 by her Grandmother, this was then elevated to a murder enquiry.

A 59-year-old man who has ties to Ashton-Under-Lyne, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder in March 2022. He has since been bailed and remains under investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Liam Boden said: “Greater Manchester Police are continuing the search for Alisha and the investigation into her disappearance.

“We can confirm that Alisha travelled as a passenger in a vehicle to the Bishop Auckland area, County Durham on Friday 14th January 2022. She was later seen travelling in the same vehicle on Saturday 22nd January 2022, leaving Glossop towards Chapel-en-le-frith in Derbyshire. Alisha has not been seen or heard from since.

“The vehicle she was a passenger in is described as a 2003 gold coloured Volkswagen Passat saloon.

“We are also appealing to the rural communities of Derbyshire in particular around Glossop, Buxton and Chapel-en-le-frith to come forward if you seen anything suspicious or vehicles trespassing on land around these dates.”

If you know anything, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, it may be the missing piece we need in our investigation to find Alisha.
