Detectives have commenced an investigation after a 31 year old female died after being found with extensive burns, just after 7:30pm on Friday 23rd July 2021

Details of Incident

Operation GARIN has been launched to investigate the circumstances around the death of a 31 year old female, Sarah Hussain.

Emergency services were called to East Street, Bury just after 7:30pm on Friday 23rd July 2021 following reports that a female had sustained serious burns.

Sarah was rushed to hospital but sadly she passed away soon after.

Three males aged 34, 26 and 24 were arrested in relation to this incident but have been released on bail, whilst enquiries continue.

The investigation is ongoing and officers would encourage anybody with any information to make contact with the Major Incident Team.
