Attempt Murder in Bolton

One year on and GMP continue to investigate the shooting of a 28yr old man, at 11:20am on Friday 12th July 2019, in the car park outside Outline Gym, St Marks Street, Bolton. We are hoping the anniversary of the attempt murder will prompt people to come forward with information regarding the identification of the man in the Evofit and the whereabouts of the Vauxhall Mokka (click right hand side of photo to browse )


Details of Incident

At 11am on Friday 12th July 2019 a stolen Vauxhall Mokka registered no. DW68 GDY drove onto St Marks Street, Bolton and parked near the junction with Coe Street.

This vehicle was reported stolen on 20th June 2019 from the South Manchester area.

A man got out of it shortly after 11am and walked up to the gym car park where he waited for just over 10 minutes. He then shot the victim before running back to the Mokka and it drove off at 1120hrs.

The image shown has been created by the police on the basis of enquiries to date.

The gunman is described as in his late 20s early 30s, of mixed race or Asian heritage, around 5’10” tall, clean shaven with short dark hair.  He was wearing a black bomber jacket with the hood up, black or dark coloured trousers and dark footwear.

 The victim was seriously injured and has life changing injuries. GMP is treating this incident as an attempt to Murder him.
