Detectives are appealing for any information from members of the public or anyone who may have witnessed events on 24/05/2026 at around 04:38hrs outside Alpha Lounge, Lewisham High Street. 

Metropolitan Police officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service, where a 41 year old man, Taiwo Ekerin, had sustained a serious head injury. He was taken to hospital, but despite the best efforts of emergency services, he sadly died from his injuries. 

Anyone who recorded the incident on their mobile phone, or has CCTV, vehicle dash-camera footage available, is asked to preserve the footage and supply it to the police, as part of the investigation.

The male's family are currently being supported by specially trained officers.
