Appeal for information regarding the death of Pepita Sarikecili, also known as Pepita Garcia. Pepita was found dead in Reynardson Road, Tottenham, N17 on the 13th January 2025. Police believe Pepita had been dead for several weeks.


Appeal for information relating to the death of Pepita Sarikecili also known as Pepita Garcia

Detectives are investigating the death of a 75 year old female Pepita Sarikecili also known as Pepita Garcia. 

On Monday 13th January 2025 at 09:33 hours Police received a concern for welfare call from the London Ambulance Service concerning a female resident of Reynardson Road, Tottenham, N17.

Officers forced entry to the property in Reynardson Road and found Pepita deceased. Pepita is believed to have died some time before Christmas.

A 40 year old male of Reynardson Road, Tottenham has been charged with preventing a lawful burial and remanded in custody

Police are appealing for anyone who knew Pepita and who can provide a background of her life.

Police are also appealing for anyone with mobile phone or dashcam footage taken in Reynardson Road between 16th October 2024 and 13th January 2025 to preserve and contact Police

Police are particularly keen to trace a taxi driver who drove Pepita to the address in Reynardson Road in August 2024 and witnessed Pepita struggling to lift ply board and other building supplies. The taxi driver may have been concerned for her welfare and used their mobile phone to film her.
