Appeal for information - Mohammed Al Fayed
Investigation into sexual offences including rape by Mohammed Al Fayed
Details of Incident
On Thursday 19th September 2024, the BBC aired a documentary about Mohammed Al Fayed (MAF).
The Met are asking for any victims - survivors who have yet to come forward and speak to Police to do so. We are putting in place additional, specialist support for those who have engaged with us in the past, along with those who come forward, and this will continue as our enquiries progress.
It is important to make clear at this stage that it is not possible for criminal proceedings to be brought against someone who has died.
This means there is no prospect of any conviction relating to Al Fayed himself.
However, we must ensure we fully explore whether any other individuals could be pursued for any criminal offences.
The investigation team are currently appealing for anyone who may have witnessed, been a victim of, or has any information in connection with these offences to please come forward.
It should be noted that the MIPP is not monitored 24/7 and any urgent requirement for Police assistance should still be done via 999.
Information can be provided via the MIPP Portal, please click 'submit your information here' below. Contact can be made with the Complex Investigation Team on 0208 217 6582 or 0208 217 6586
Alternatively you can email your contact details to: CIT@met.police.uk
