Shortly before 9pm on Monday 2nd October 2023 a serious altercation took place on Typhoon Way Wallington that led to the fatal stabbing of a man

A murder investigation is under way following the death of a man in Sutton.


Officers were called at approximately 21.01hrs on Monday 2nd October to reports of a 42 year old man suffering stab  injuries outside an address in Typhoon Way . Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and the man was treated at the scene. Sadly, despite the best efforts of medical professionals, he died as a result of his injuries. 


The investigation is led by Detective Chief Inspector Mike Nolan in Specialist Crime. He said " Our investigation is in the very early stages. Specially trained officers are supporting the victim's family and they have our assurances that officers will do everything we can to support them and bring to justice whoever is responsible for this senseless act of violence. We have spoken to a number of people, but I still want to hear from anyone who may have captured footage via their doorbell, car or camera, to come forward and speak to us as quickly as possible"


Anyone with CCTV, Mobile phone or dashcam footage to the incident is asked to preserve and supply it to the Police as part of the investigation.
