Police are appealing for information about the fatal shooting of Tyrese Miller on Croydon Road by Mitcham Common, CR4 on Tuesday 4th April 2023


Appeal to identify anyone with knowledge of incident/travelling Croydon Rd/Beddington Lane 4th April

Detectives investigating a murder on Croydon Road, CR4 are seeking assistance from members of the public.

 

Police were called at 2.25am on Tuesday 4th April 2023 after concerns were raised about a male who was found injured in Croydon Road by Mitcham Common, CR4.  The male received medical treatment at the scene and was found to have a gunshot injury to the chest.  He was transported to St Georges hospital but sadly died at 4.10am.  He has now been identified as Tyrese Miller, a 22 year old male from Merton.

 

Detectives are appealing to anyone who was in the area of Croydon Road/Beddington Lane in the early hours of Tuesday 4th April 2023 and saw anything suspicious to get in contact. 

 

Police are also keen to obtain dash cam footage from any road users in the area of Croydon Road/Beddington Lane in the early hours of Tuesday 4th April 2023 so this can be reviewed by the investigation team.

 

Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, from Specialist Crime, said: "We would like to hear from anyone who was travelling in the area of Croydon Road/Beddington Lane in the early hours of Tuesday 4th April 2023 and who saw anything suspicious.

 

We are also keen to speak with anybody who was travelling in the area at the time and has dash cam footage.  This footage could contain vital information to allow us to identify who is responsible for the murder of Tyrese and we urgently need to review it.  Please do get in touch as soon as possible if you are able to assist".
