Murder in Lennox Road – Operation Saltlake

The Metropolitan Police are releasing the name and image (see above) of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the murder of Taki Boudhane in Finsbury Park.

Taki, a 30-year-old Algerian national living in Enfield, was working as a delivery driver on his motorbike when he was involved in a traffic altercation on Lennox Road, near Charteris Road, N4 at around 18:50hrs on Friday, 3rd January 2020.

The incident escalated and culminated in Taki being stabbed. Despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly afterwards.

Detectives are now appealing for information as to the whereabouts of Nathan Smith, aged 30 and of no fixed abode. He is believed to have fled the country the day after Taki’s murder, initially to Austria, before moving on elsewhere in Europe or further afield.

Nathan Smith is described as a white male, 27yrs, 6’3’’ tall, slim build, with dark hair.  He usually wears a dark beard, although this may have been shaved.  Nathan Smith also has a tattoo, on his right forearm, which reads ‘count your blessings’.

Nathan Smith has links to North London, particularly Islington, Camden and Kentish Town.

The Met is offering a substantial reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and prosecution of the person responsible for Taki’s death.
