A murder investigation is under way following the death of a 26-year-old man in Doncaster
Details of Incident
We are appealing for witnesses and those with dashcam footage to come forward following the death of a man in a road traffic collision in Doncaster.
At 8.32pm Friday 10 April, we were called to reports of a road traffic collision at Prince's Street, Doncaster.
It is reported that a silver Hyundai was involved in a collision with a pedestrian and failed to stop at the scene.
Officers and the ambulance service attended and the pedestrian, a 26-year-old man, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Despite the best efforts of medical staff, the man sadly died at hospital. His family has been informed and is being supported at this time.
Officers arrested a 30-year-old and a 22-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
A 20-year-old man, a 38-year-old woman and a 24-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of assisting offenders. They all remain in police custody at this time.
Prince's Street was closed whilst officers were at the scene and has since reopened.
