CHESHIRE MURDER INVESTIGATION CHESTER

Appeal for information regarding a Cheshire Police Murder Investigation Pinky's, Boughton, Chester, 09/06/1991

Details of Incident

Cheshire Detectives reviewing the Pinky's Massage Parlour murder are taking the opportunity to appeal for information as the 34th anniversary approaches.

Lynne Trenholm, 29, was working on her own at Pinky's Massage Parlour, Boughton on the evening of Sunday 9th June 1991, when someone entered the parlour and stabbed her repeatedly. She was subsequently discovered in an upper room in the premises.

A murder investigation was launched with more than 700 people being interviewed by police, including many clients of the massage parlour and those who worked there.  However the killer remained at large and the case remained open. Further reviews took place and appeals were issued to help try and solve the murder of a young woman who tragically had her life cut short in such a brutal and violent way.

It is possible that there maybe some who never came forward at the time , who may hold valuable information, we are appealing for them to make contact.

DI Eli Atkinson said

"Unsolved murders are periodically reviewed and this is one that we are currently looking at. We believe it would be timely to ask those who may have information but have not yet come forward to reconsider and get in touch to help us find the person responsible for Lynne's murder.

Cases of this nature are never formally closed, they remain open for any new information to come to light that we can identify and explore further, so if you have any information that may help, please get in touch".
