Details of Incident

We are investigating the disappearance of Michael O’Leary, 55, from Nantgaredig, near Carmarthen in west Wales. He was reported missing on Monday, January 27 2020.


A local man has been charged with his murder, and remanded in to custody.


We are appealing for information on any sightings of Mr O’Leary on Monday night (January 27), or any sightings of his vehicle, a silver Nissan Navara, travelling between Cwmffrwd and Capel Dewi between 8pm and 10pm the same night. We would also like to hear from anyone with information who was in this area during these times.


We continue to appeal for any sightings or information about a cyclist, believed to be wearing a high visibility jacket, who was spotted travelling between Capel Dewi and Cwmffrwd on the evening of January 27.


We also welcome any further information which could help the investigation, any detail – no matter how small it may seem to you, could prove vital to this ongoing investigation, and we urge people to get in touch.
