Death of Marcus Boston - Appeal to trace potential key witnesses
SOUTH WALES POLICE APPEAL FOR INFORMATION
Detectives investigating an assault in Cathays last month are appealing for the occupants of a car to come forward. It is believed they stopped to offer help and could have important information.
Police were called to Pentyrch Street on the evening of Monday, December 22.
The victim, Colm Marcus Boston, 37, from Heath, died four days later at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.
Witnesses have described seeing a small car, containing at least two people, pull up alongside the victim and the driver was heard to offer help.
The car, possibly a Ford Fiesta, then left the area.
The occupants of this car, believed to be a male and female, are urged to please contact police.
A 29-year-old man from arrested earlier this week (Wednesday, January 7) on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon, has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Three other men previously arrested as part of the investigation also remain on police bail.
Mr Boston’s family continue to be supported by family liaison officers.
