Officers were called at 1125pm Sunday night (24th May) to reports that two men had been punched at the Ricco and Loren bar on Market Street, Lichfield. 
Sadly one of the victims who was seriously injured died in hospital this afternoon (Tuesday, 26th May). His family are being supported by specialist officers at this tragic time.
The second victim was also taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

Billy Allison , aged 36 from Solihull was arrested early on Monday morning (25th May). He has been charged with  Murder and Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent. Allison is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre tomorrow (27th May).
