At 10.25 am Friday 11 April, a grey Nissan van struck a member of the public on Aston Wood Golf Club on Blake Street following a pursuit by West Midlands Police cars.

We are working with West Midlands Police to trace the driver and two passengers who ran off from the scene.

The woman who was injured in the collision was taken to hospital and has tragically died. 

Our thoughts remain with her family at this difficult time, specialist officers are supporting the family.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct have been informed by West Midlands Police as is standard procedure, who are now investigating.

Staffordshire Police are keen to speak to anyone who was travelling in the area of Blake Street and Birmingham Road between Sutton Coldfield and Shenstone at approximately 10.25am on Friday, CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage that could help the investigation.
