Northumbria Police are involved in an incident at Newcastle International Airport on 17^th March 2026 where Flight NP-999 from Nice, France to Newcastle has suffered a partial landing gear failure, causing it to skid from the runway. Newcastle International Airport have set up a Survivor Reception Centre.

We would like to hear from anybody reporting friends or family missing and believed involved in this incident and anybody who may have witnessed the incident or has any information that may assist the police. We would like to appeal to anyone that may have CCTV footage, dash cam footage or mobile phone videos linked to the incident.
