OPERATION TOPHAM - TRAIN INCIDENT AT SALHOUSE
Shortly after 07.00hrs on Wednesday 9th July the 06.18hrs Service from Sheringham to Norwich collided with an embankment that had collapsed onto the train track. The collision caused the train to come to an abrupt stop and the leading carriage of the train to derail and causing extensive damage to the front of the train.

The collision caused the train to come to an abrupt stop and the leading carriage of the train to derail and causing extensive damage to the front of the train.
The service was a commuter service with approximately 35-40 passengers on board.
Initial reports indicate there was one fatality and numerous other injuries ranging from seriously injured to slight injuries.
