Surrey Police are appealing for information after a serious assault in Staines


Details of Incident

Surrey Police have launched an investigation following the serious assault on a teenage boy on Sunday 8th March 2026.

Police were called to Staines High Street at around 7.36pm following reports of a stabbing at the location.

A teenage boy has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains at this time.

Four people have now been arrested in connection with this incident.

Two 16-year-old boys and an 18-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. A 15-year-old girl has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

The 15-year-old girl has been released on bail while the others remain in police custody as our enquiries continue.

We are continuing to appeal for information and witnesses to this incident. Were you in the town centre between 6pm and 8.30pm on Sunday? Did you see or hear anything that could assist our investigation?

An investigation, led by the Surrey and Sussex Police Major Crime Team, is underway.
