Murder of Richard 'Ricky' Haywood

Details of Incident

On Monday 16th October 1989, Richard Haywood, commonly known as Ricky, was just 36-years-old when he was killed in his flat above Ambiance Jewellers on Shirley Road in Southampton. To date no one has been charged with the murder of Ricky, who was shot numerous times at close range.

The investigation into Ricky’s murder has now been reopened, and advancements in forensic science over the past 35 years will allow us to pursue this as one of the main lines of enquiry.
