Suspicious Death College Street Ipswich 23/12/2025
The Joint Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team have launched an investigation following the death of a man in Ipswich.
Details of Incident
A police investigation is under way and two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a man in Ipswich.
Police were called at 11.37am this morning, Tuesday 23 December, to reports that a man had been found dead within a property in College Street, Ipswich.
The Ambulance Service attended but the man was declared deceased at the scene.
A Home Office post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
A 38-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where they currently remain.
At this early stage of the investigation it is believed the two people arrested and the deceased are known to each other and police are not currently looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
A police scene is in place at the premises while inquiries continue.
