Detectives have launched a murder investigation in Peterborough

Detectives have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Peterborough.

Police were called at about 10.45am on 4 February with reports of a man found unconscious at a property in Gladstone Street, Peterborough.

 

A 50-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police, including specialist scenes of crimes officers, remain at the scene and investigations are ongoing.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt INWOOD, from the Major Crime Unit, said: “I understand this is likely to be concerning for residents, we are keen to hear from anyone who may have any information relevant to this investigation.

“Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this time and specialist officers are being appointed in support of the family.”
